The Paths We Weave ~ A Community Public Art Project
During summer 2026, artists Sydney Schultz and Laura Reeder will transform the hillside below Thornden Park's water tower into a living public artwork where sculpture, walking paths, ecology, and community come together. Monumental woven willow sculptures will emerge from the landscape alongside meadow pathways that invite visitors to slow down, explore, gather, and experience the park in new ways.
Created in partnership with the Thornden Park Association and Syracuse Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs, this project celebrates public space as something we build—and care for—together.
